Document management
The quick location of relevant documents saves time, and knowledge may be used in a better way
In a company, documents store most of the knowledge. Offers, instructions, product descriptions, project reports, competitor's analyses, manuscripts, protocols of meetings, style sheets etc. are collected and registered in documents and presentations. But as soon as a piece of information is required, it often happens that it cannot be found. One of the reasons is the number of places where documents are stored: different locations, individual departments, personal hard drives, different project databases or other servers. In addition, search functions are limited: document content often remains hidden in a search, meta data such as author, date of creation and version such as classifying information regarding the document are not always available.
