Manage your documents in Intranet/Extranet
The document management module serves for structure document filing in their standard file format. Documents of any format can be managed. Document filing is carried out in a catalogue system. Each document can be allocated to several categories and there are therefore different ways to find it. Additionally, meta information such as title, short description and catchphrases can be added to the documents. The EGOTEC® version management archives the documents. Search for a document can be carried out flexibly and can be limited; in co-operation with the EgoSearchPlus module, document content (e.g. Word,Excel, PDF etc.) can be indicated and the document is found by a full text search.
Access to individual documents can be limited to particular groups or persons by allocation of rights. It is ensured by check-in/check-out that it is always the current document that is available on the Intranet and that the currently processed document is only changed by one user at the same time. In practise, this module is often used in the Intranet, i.e. for the areas form management, quality management and organisational handbooks.
