Teachers’ Insurance of Bern

The Swiss insurer decides for EGOTEC.

The Teachers' Insurance of Bern (BLVK) is a provision institution of public law. It takes part in the obligatory insurance according to the federal law for professional pension plan-, surviving dependants- and disability provision (BVG).

It is their business to insure the Bernese staff of teachers against the economical consequences of disability, age and death.

The administration commission can also admit other institutions subject to public law or commercial institutions which are active in the area of school education and professional training.

The legal basis of the BLVK is a decree of the Great Council of the canton Bern and the statutes of the BLVK. For this purpose, there is an outline, "standard investment guidelines" regulations, one concerning the activities of the real estate committee as well as one concerning the provision of mortgage credits.
