The department for machine tools and management science of the Technical University of Munich located in Garching has opted to use EGOTEC.

As especially the medium of the Internet is more and more becoming a platform for information and publishing, it was necessary to organise the administration more efficiently. The previous solution in the Intranet and Internet was too inflexible and caused an unnecessary administrative load, which in turn strains the up-to-dateness and structure. The aim was a better and more attractive outward presentation (Internet) as well as an increase of internal transparency (Intranet) - besides, this resulted in saving of costs by reducing the administrative load.

Hereby, EGOTEC prevailed because of its very good applicability in the university sector. Beside the various modules and adaptability, the conclusive concept for the take-over of existing Internet pages was decisive.
