A progressive university of applied sciences needs a progressive Content Management System – EGOTEC.

The University of Applied Sciences of Bonn-Rhein-Sieg opted for application of a Content Management System after a selection process lasting several months and the testing of several systems. Hereby, EGOTEC was convincing because of its simple handling and the attractive price-performance ratio.

The employees of the University of Applied Sciences of Bonn-Rhein-Sieg were also impressed by the smooth running during the introduction of EGOTEC at the University of Jena and the Technical University of Munich (IWB).

Within the next months the system will be introduced within the scope of an Internet relaunch and will be applied step-by-step in all sectors of the Internet and Intranet. The general adaptation of EGOTEC shall be completed in nine months. Hereby, the previous solution based on hyperwave applied in sub-areas will be replaced.
The new version 3.5 of EGOTEC will be deployed for the project at the University of Applied Sciences of Bonn-Rhein-Sieg.

By its flexible and modular structure, its platform, operating system and browser-independence, EGOTEC offers optimally integrated solutions for colleges and universities. EGOTEC is delivered completely in the PHP source code, extensions can be accomplished with the API itself. By this, a combination of flexibility and extensibility of open-source-solutions is achieved and the disadvantages involved, like insufficient documentation and a missing producer support are prevented.
