The Friedrich Schiller University of Jena has opted to use EGOTEC in the current version for the whole university, with more than 2,000 employees and more than 17,000 students.

In a first step an intensive phase of research and evaluation has been completed. Following this, the number of providers has been limited to three, great value having been set on the flexibility and adaptability of the solution. In the context of a product demonstration their efficiency were tested more precisely. At this, EGOTEC's bid was accepted because of its very good applicability in the university sector. Besides the various modules and adaptability, the optimal extensibility by employees and students of the University of Jena were decisive.
