EGOTEC was convincing because of its great flexibility.

VGB PowerTech e.V. was founded in Leuna in1920. It aims at a voluntary association of all companies for which the generation of heat and power plant engineering form an important basis.

Aims of higher priority are the promotion and improvement of industrial safety, the availability, efficiency and environmental compatibility of existing and new power plants for the generation of electricity and heat (fossil-heated, nuclear, regenerative) for its members.

In the scope of an intensive selection process of Content Management Systems, flexibly configurable solutions were searched. EGOTEC could prevail? as Content Management System because of its simple handling and unlimited flexibility.

The previous static solution was replaced by a scalable, performant EGOTEC solution. The technical transaction took place under the charge of the VGB Powertech team itself.

Especially when a high availability and cost efficiency are required, EGOTEC can play fully on its strengths. EGOTEC is based on the widespread script language PHP4 and can be introduced independently of platform and cheaply in this open source periphery.
