More than 1,700 persons are employed as doctors, scientists, nursing staff and administration secretaries.

For conversion of the Intranet a solution was sought which is adequate for the specific requirements of a hospital. A local IT consulting company was commissioned to develop a list of requirements.

During the public tender, a lot of bids were received on the basis of the customer requirement specification created. The consulting company also carried out the assessment of the applications and EGOCMS was the winning bid.

EGOTEC was the first choice with regard to platform, flexibility and price. A further point would be the prevalence in the medical environment, both, the University Hospital of Jena and the University Hospital of Magdeburg utilise EGOTEC successfully.

During the following weeks, Intranet, Extranet and Internet are converted to EGOTEC. This will be carried out independently by the EDP employees of the Hospital of Dresden Friedrichstadt after appropriate administrator and developer training.
