Due to the positive experiences regarding EGOTEC implementation at the university as a whole, the University Hospital of Magdeburg also chooses its innovative Content Management System

For many years, the University Hospital of Magdeburg has been a reliable point of contact for patients in the region around the capital of the federal state of Saxony-Anhalt. Every year, more than 150,000 patients are treated at the 29 speciality hospitals as inpatients and outpatients.

At this hospital of maximum treatment, the high intensity of clinical care has been reflected in an acknowledged quality of patient treatment. The speciality of the Medical Faculty is stamped by its research achievements, the academic training of doctors and the treatment of particularly severe clinical pictures. More than 3,000 people are employed as doctors, scientists, nursing staff and administration secretaries.

For conversion of the Internets a solution was sought which is adequate for the specific requirements of a hospital. Due to the good experience the Otto-von-Guericke University of Magdeburg had already had with EGOTEC in the current EGOTEC implementation for the university's webpages, EGOTEC was also included in the evaluation of the university hospital.

Particularly due to the scope of functions offered and the moderate licence cost, EGOTEC was able to assert themselves against well-known competitors. According to the hospital's management, the usual simple handling of EGOTEC plays an important role to ensure that it is already accepted by the employees from the beginning.
