DECHEMA Association for Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology Registered Society opts for multi-client capable Content Management with EGOTEC 3.2.

The DECHEMA is a non-profit scientific technical association located in Frankfurt/Main. More than 5,000 scientists, engineers, companies, organisations and institutes are associated as members today. It is the job of DECHEMA to accompany actively the development of chemical technologies and procedures and to process new knowledge from research and development for the practice.

DECHEMA co-ordinates the ACHEMA, the world-wide largest exhibition congress on the subjects of chemical technology, environment protection and biotechnology. These congresses are held world-wide. To keep the administration of the diverse Internet presences as simple as possible, the decision for the application of EGOTEC was made.

In the scope of an intensive selection process of Content Management Systems multi-client capable solutions were evaluated. EGOCMS 3.2 was convincing because of its simple handling and flexible extensibility.

The previous static solution will be replaced by a scalable, performant EGOTEC solution; affected by this are more than 5 domains, each with several languages. The technical transaction took place under the charge of the DECHEMA team itself. Hereby, the DECHEMA team is accompanied by the extensive training programme round EGOTEC. Hereby, a "train-the-trainer" editor and chief editor training is realised which enables DECHEMA to train all editors internally. In addition to this, training for designers and developers are realised so that the Powertec web team can make up the design and the data stock links to external data on their own.

EGOTEC is based on the wide-spread script language PHP 4 and can be introduced independently of platform and cheaply in this open source periphery.
