Huebner GmbH with corporate seat in Kassel is a world-wide system provider with the core competencies for conception and production of bellows, knuckle systems and flexible transfer systems. They are used for rail vehicles, buses, airport technology, automotive, utility vehicles and medical technology.

So far the Content Management System Hyperwave was used for maintenance of content. During a strategic re-conception, it became necessary to replace the previous platform. Several Content Management Systems were tested and evaluated in a selection process.

Therefore, a flexible solution was sought for the Intranet presence which is able to meet the requirements of an internationally operating company. The decision was made to utilise EGOCMS 4.0.

The simple handling for editors as well as administrators which leads to quick results was decisive for selection. Administrator's and developer's training enables Huebner's IT department to manage and extend the system without external support. This will also take care of the necessary independence in case of future developments which the previously utilised system did not offer.

A further plus was the well thought-out EGOTEC solution with regard to multilingual content. Parts of Huebner's Intranet are in three languages (German, English, Hungarian) resulting in different overlappings. However, EGOTEC is capable of allocating each document a separate source language which is then available in the target languages if it is not translated. Therefore, the entire company knowledge is available in at least one language.

During the following weeks, migration of the data stock previously maintained in Hyperwave will be carried out. For this, the EGOTEC team is able to fall back on experience with migration projects from other CMS platforms such as Imperia, Hyperwave, xRed etc.

Conversion of the Intranets to EGOCMS 4.0 will be completed in summer 2005.

EGOTEC has often proven itself in practical use in the Intranet and Internet of medium-sized and large companies. EGOTEC is delivered completely in PHP source code and convinces with it simple handling and flexible opportunities for extensions.
