Axel Springer Mediahouse Munich

The websites of the eight magazines of the Axel Springer Mediahouse Munich will be maintained completely with EGOTEC before long.

The Axel Springer Mediahouse located in Munich is a 100% affiliate of the Axel Springer Corporation. More than 150 employees are in charge of successful and leading teenage-, music- and women's magazines. In this setting the Axel Springer Mediahouse publishes eight magazines with an edition of more than two million copies altogether per month.

So far, online presences have been maintained partly statically as well as dynamically by a Content Management System. The individual online presences should be maintained on a homogeneous Content Management platform. The Content Management System partly used until then didn't offer an attractive price-performance ratio for the new requirements. Hence, it was decided to test and evaluate active established systems on the market especially under this aspect.

In this, EGOCMS 3.5 was completely convincing. Besides the price-performance ratio, the simple handling for the editors who work in the system as well as for the designers who create the layout of the Internet presences, was crucial.

By the application of EGOCMS 3.5 the employees of the Axel Springer Mediahouse can convert their design ideas into graphic templates much faster than they used to with the "unflexible" solution. For the Axel Springer Mediahouse it was important to be able to perform all requirements on CMS themselves. Hereby, it is added to present standard modules.

Within the scope of the EGOTEC course of instruction the employees of the Axel Springer Mediahouse will be trained in the sectors design, administration and development within the next few days. The customers of EGOTEC receive a maximum of flexibility and future security by a detailed concept of instruction and the delivery of EGOTEC in the documented source code.

EGOTEC has proven itself frequently in practice in the Intranet and Internet at universities, publishers, medium-sized and large companies.
