It has been possible for years to find detailed information on all services and offers of the city administration on this website. So far, administration and update of the extensive offer was carried out via the CMS of a local content management provider.

On the basis of previous CMS experiences, there were concrete visions about which requirements were to be fulfilled by the CMS for a relaunch of the websites. Besides the support of barrier-free websites, the focus of attention was on simple handling and administration.

Particularly regarding creation of templates, the city administration of Muenster wanted to remain at the helm and to execute it themselves after adequate training. With the previous solution this was not possible without support from the external service provider.

After several presentations from CMS producers, EGOTEC 4 was able to assert itself with the critical criteria: comfortable handling for the City employees, no layout limitations by CMS, search engine friendliness, comprehensive references in a communal environment and standard modules covering municipality-specific requirements (citizen information system, entertainment guide etc.)

The new design was created in accordance with the BITV guidelines for barrier-free websites. EGOTEC 4 automatically guarantees that the content administered by editor correspond to the BITV requirements. At the same time, existing content was migrated from the CMS into EGOTEC by import filter and put in a new order.
