Realisation of the circumstance principle in the scope of an Internet relaunch with Content Management System

The large county town Ostfildern is located in the middle of the Stuttgart region. The City of Ostfildern increasingly sees itself as a service partner for citizens.

During a relaunch of the existing Internet presence a solution was sought that would fulfil the high information content of the Internet pages regarding topicality and maintenance work. In order to meet these requirements, it was decided to optimise the previously static Internet presence by a ?morn, dynamic content management solution.

Besides the favourable licence model, the simple handling of the system which is very similar to the popular word processing programmes was decisive. It is therefore possible that the individual departments editorially adapt the content independently. Furthermore, flexible use of already existing municipality-specific modules (calendar of events, "What do I settle where?", trade directory etc.) was important as this guarantees quick conversion to standards.
