Up-to-the-minute announcements according to design regulations of the Federal State Saxonia, thanks to the EGOTEC Content Management System

The Regional Government Office, as the federal mediating authority, has to fulfil the function of connecting communal and federal government level. To an increasing degree, the Regional Government Office of Chemnitz also understands itself as partner and service provider for citizens, economy, municipalities and other authorities.

The newly designed homepage whose basic elements were adjusted to the Internet presences of all the other Saxonian authorities of the federal state, is meant to significantly increase the opportunities of access among one another and therefore the entire user friendliness.

In the scope of relaunch of the existing Internet presence a solution was sought which fulfils the high information content of the Internet pages with regard to being up-to-date and maintenance opportunities. To meet those requirements it was decided to optimise the previous static Internet presence by a modern dynamic Content Management solution. EGOTEC was the first choice for this.

Besides the reasonable licence model, particularly the simple system operation was decisive which strongly corresponds to common word processing programmes. It was therefore possible for the individual departments to edit the content themselves after a short familiarisation period. Since then, up-to-date information about the work of the regional government office may be presented up-to-the-minute.
