Personalisation

Best results due to target group-accurate communication
Not every user needs access to all information. The more target group-specific the information offer is, the quicker the relevant information is perceived and utilised. Search and access times can thereby be reduced considerably, documents for specific target groups may be provided in protected areas. The content view particularly designed for a user contributes significantly to an increase in customer loyalty.

The efficient ECM solution platform offers extremely flexible opportunities to create a customised information offer for users. Dynamically generated content depending on freely definable profile features creates the precondition for the highest individualisation opportunities.

Freely definable user features
The integrated profile manager enables definition of any desired feature within a user profile. Different areas of interest or personal features may be provided and selected either by the user himself or by the administrator. Such flexible user profiles control the information output. The user only sees the content he is supposed to see. Due to the media-neutral data, personalised information output may be carried via different channels: by email, SMS, PDA, portal or printed media. At the same time, the profiles are the basis for compilation and analysis of the user's conduct.

Protected access to specific areas
Some data are only supposed to be made available to a selected group of users. Separate documents may be provided to authenticated users within an Intranet, Extranets or portal. Depending on stored profile features, the user gets access to particular navigation points and content. This is how department, office, project or partner-specific microsites with protected access may be realised without big effort. Different identification and authentification procedures may be applied.

Proactive informing
Email push services that can be configurated freely offer the opportunity to regularly inform users of news. The content which is transmitted automatically may be compiled individually for the particular user. This is how personalised newsletters may be created easily. Features stored in the user profile are the basis for this.

Utilise user features in external directories
User data are often managed in external directory services. They can be utilised for content output control without problem. For example, data such as department affiliation in central employees' directories may be used to specifically control the information offer for a registered employee.

Personalised working environment for editors
The EGOTEC working environment always has a personalised image. This is determined by the individual rights and author's personal adjustments. It displays only those functions and content which the author has the required authorisation for in his profile.

Simple operation without additional work for authors
Your company's existing Content Management processes are not supposed to be unnecessarily complicated by implementation of a personalisation concept. EGOTEC ensures that the maintenance of personalisation data is carried out by the authors in the usual intuitive manner via the EGOTEC interface.
