Ernst Group

The special engineering company relies on CMS by EGOTEC for online information.

The Ernst group is a system supplier in special engineering. It comprises four autonomous companies and positions itself as an innovative provider of system solutions of checking devices, machine tool building and rotund cyclic automats (Rundtaktautomaten). For 30 years already the Ernst group has been offering marketable and practice approved special solutions in special engineering. Among their customers are well-known automobile and engine manufacturers at home and abroad.

In the context of a relaunch the pages were revised graphically as well as in structure and content. Tthe web team of the Ernst group was supported in this by the simple handling of EGOTEC. Especially the interaction with common text processing systems was convincing, this way e.g. a word document can be pasted simply via clipboard per copy & paste. Hereby, all formattings, chart layouts and links are applied.

The contents as well as the complete navigation structure could be made up by employees of Ernst themselves after an instruction for editors and administrators for one day. So the classification of the pages into individual corporate divisions is impressive.

EGOTEC is based on the open-source programme language PHP 4, is independent of operating systems and is handled completely browser based. Besides a simple handling, attention was paid to a maximum flexibility, all formattings concerning the contents (bold, insert links, insert pictures, downloads,...) are administered by a WYSIWYG EDITOR without HTML knowledge.
