Hugo Vogelsang Mechanical Engineering GmbH is a system provider in the area of pump technology. More than 150 employees are busy with solutions for eccentric rotor pumps in the areas of disposal engineering and agriculture at the parent company in Essen (Ol.).

Due to the company's international orientation a solution was sought which is able to cope with the increasing future requirements. Decision was made in favour of a Content Management System.

The main requirements were particularly in the area of multilingualism and utilisation of a common technical platform. It is intended to join the scattered country-specific Internet presences into a central system. It is thereby intended to improve information flow between the world-wide locations and to bundle sales activities.

After testing several systems in the lower to medium price segment, it was decided to utilise EGOTEC. Above all, it was the simple handling of the system that was convincing. Already during test operation, it was possible for Vogelsang employees to create a complete prototype of the new website. Test operation was carried out directly on the future productive server which is supported by an external hosting provider. Installation also ran smoothly due to the technology EGOTEC uses.

In the following months, Vogelsang employees will establish the Internet presence with new contents. For the online start, a closed user area in which further information on the products is provided for download is planned with the help of an Extranet module.
