During an intensive selection process regarding Content Management Systems, in which particularly the lower price segment was selected on the shortlist, EGOTEC was the first choice. When comparing the products it was determined that several requirements were not met or only insufficiently covered by competitors which would result in considerable adjustment effort. EGOTECs flexibility was in the favour of EGOTEC as it is platform-independent, may therefore be operated on the IBM iSeries and met the individual requirements regarding design.
Customer benefit was particularly emphasised when redesigning the Internet presence. The main focus is the newly created seminar area which enables research for types of seminar, place and time period of the event. Furthermore, up-to-the-minute seminar vacancies are published on the Internet , and interested persons may book the seminars immediately online.
After a training of one day, content is populated by the responsible employees in the individual departments themselves. EGOTECs simple handling is an important component for acceptance within the company.
Presently an Extranet area is established as an add-on, presenting information in the Content Management System that is specifically compiled for the customer. Customer access may therefore be carried out personalised and targeted by user and rights management.
