For the relaunch of the existing Internet presence a solution was sought which would fulfil high information content regarding topicality and maintenance work. Multilingualism is chosen for tourism information as especially the widely known Karl May museum is an attraction for fans from near and far.

In order to meet these requirements, it was decided to optimise the previous Internet presence by a ?morn, dynamic content management solution. Therefore, EGOCMS was the first choice.

The simple handling of the system which is very similar to popular word processing programmes was decisive. It is therefore possible that the individual departments editorially adapt the content independently. Furthermore, flexible use of already existing municipality-specific modules (calendar of events, "What do I settle where?", directory of associations etc.) was important as this guarantees quick conversion to standards.

The technical and graphical relaunch of the pages is supposed to be completed by the middle of 2005 in collaboration with a local web agency.
